One Yellow Barrel Presents the BGMC Mystery Water Bucket

Welcome to the official site of Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge for the Wisconsin/ Northern Michigan Ministries Network.  We have some cool things to promote here and will be rolling them out throughout the year.

The First Thing we want to let you know about is the Africa Oasis project.   The Africa Oasis Project helps dig wells in Africa.   So many people in Africa are without drinkable clean water.   A couple of years ago Kenya went through a severe drought.  Water is a precious commodity.  BGMC has partnered with many African churches to dig water wells in communities that need them badly.  When visiting Kenya in October it was very evident that water is a precious commodity.   One story I heard a couple of times was how certain communities had drilled for water but they couldn't find any clean drinkable water. But God provided a miracle.  Boys and Girls gave to BGMC and they went in and God provided water.  Where there was no water God provided.

When I heard this story I thought back to when I was much younger and I saw water come from a faucet in open space.  It amazed me.   It was like water came from no where.  Little did I realize that this would be an image that would reconnect with me many years later.  I had a vision of our Buddy Buckets being used to illustrate water coming from no where.

What was born in my mind was the Buddy Mystery Water Bucket.   I am giving away the plans to the bucket to anyone who wants them with one stipulation.  This year we are asking that each of our Assembly of God churches help drill one well in Africa through the Africa Oasis project.   A deep water well can cost up to $30,000.  If each of our churches gave $175 this year the Wisconsin/Northern Michigan Ministries Network would dig that well.   I think we can do it.

We will be making available on this website a giving form for the Africa Oasis project as well as plans for the BGMC Mystery Water Bucket.
